After years in the Northeast, think shoveling snow and scraping windshields, he sold the business and headed to Florida, determined to build a life he actually wanted to live.

Mark’s been on two wheels since he was a kid—motocross, enduro, hair scrambles, trials. Riding taught him how to fix things when they break, keep a cool head, and work as a team. Those lessons carried him through a memorable day in Colorado: a seized engine eight miles into timberline, hours of towing over rock steps, and a surprise encounter with a bull moose on the long trek out.

There’s also the time a Mexican Federali waved him down—not for papers, but for a wheelie. One quick throttle twist later, the officer applauded and sent him on his way. Retirement, it turns out, still rewards a little showmanship.
